Welcome to San Jacinto Technology Institute, 

Hello! My name is Steve Simpson, and I’m proud to serve as the Principal of San Jacinto Technology Institute — an online K-8 school available to all students in the San Jacinto Unified School District.

Being the leader of SJ Tech means a lot to me. It’s more than just a job—it’s something I care deeply about. Every day, I’m focused on helping our students succeed and making sure our school is a place where learning is exciting, personal, and meaningful.  At SJ Tech, we believe every child is unique. That’s why we offer a learning experience that fits each student’s strengths, interests, and learning style. Whether it’s through virtual classrooms, hands-on projects, or customized lessons, our goal is to help every child do their best and feel confident in their abilities.  We also care about more than just schoolwork. We want our students to feel safe, supported, and part of a caring community. Our team works hard to make sure students feel encouraged to be themselves, take on challenges, and learn important skills they’ll use in the real world.

SJ Tech offers a strong academic program that follows the district’s curriculum. Even though we’re a virtual school, we create a small-school feel where students get personal attention and build positive relationships with teachers. We focus on building not just knowledge, but also the technology skills kids need for future jobs and college.

We know that family support plays a big role in student success. That’s why we invite parents, guardians, and caregivers to be part of the journey. Our hybrid enrichment labs—combining online and in-person activities—are a great way for families to stay involved and connected. Your voice matters here, and we’re always looking for ways to work together to improve the school experience.

As Principal, I feel lucky to see how our amazing teachers and staff go above and beyond every day to support your children. We’re not just teaching students—we’re helping them grow into strong, confident young people ready for whatever the future holds.
